It’s Day Eight of the Summer 2017 10×10 Wardrobe Challenge – just a couple days from the end of this challenge!

I feel like a trip to the dentist (ugh!) always calls for an outfit that is equal parts comfort and armor. In this case, I went for an easy maxi dress, slouchy tee on top, my heeled Dr. Martins’ with some go to accessories.

This turned out to be the perfect outfit for today – a day of not much sleep last night, work, an hour and a half wait at the dentist, dentist, numb mouth, very late lunch, and more work. It was one of those sorts of days where nothing was particularly horrible, but everything was just highly irritating.

On these sorts of days I always find that an outfit that I feel amazing in, but that I don’t feel self-conscious in, is the best way to make the day work.

So when I woke up after only a couple hours of not great sleep, I knew I wanted to wear this dress, these shoes, and accessories. Then I tossed the top over all of it, and felt like the day might not go downhill too terribly.

Do you have go to pieces that you always put on to get through those not-so-great days?

If you’re just finding this project, or missed a couple days, you can catch up on Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4Day 5, Day 6, and Day 7. Plus follow along on instagram here, and find out what the heck a 10×10 Wardrobe Challenge is here.
