Another go-to easy to throw on look for today. For the past couple days, I’m really loving being able to throw on some easy, comfortable, familiar looks. So I’m glad that in addition to putting some newer pieces to experiment with in this mini-capsule wardrobe, I included some older go-to pieces as well.

I know I said this yesterday, but fall is definitely here in New York. I actually swapped out the tee-shirt for a camisole before running out this afternoon, because it works better with a scarf for me.

While I was thinking about writing this post, I realized that I tend to change clothes a lot throughout my day. I know that a large part of this is because I work from home and my whole closet is right around the corner, easy to get to. It’s not uncommon that I stay in pjs until I finish my coffee, and then change into some sort of lounge-wear/tee-shirt/shorts/jeans for the morning, then shower and change into “real clothes” sometime around the middle of the day, and then potentially change for the evening (either to grab dinner, or back clothes for lounging/pjs). Writing this out it seems like an absurd number of clothing changes for someone who doesn’t live in the world of Downton Abbey, but here I am.

I’m definitely not 100% sure why this is, but I think at least part of it is because changing clothes is an easy way to break up my day. Since I work primarily from home it’s really, really, really easy for my to-do list to grow forever and for me to spend my entire day staring at my computer. It’s nice to have an obvious physical activity that breaks up my day.

Could this activity be something other than changing clothes multiple times a day? Yea.

But, for now at least, this is working for me, so I’ll go with it.
